Hunterville Inter-School Athletics Sport Day

On the 31st March 2011, Rangiwaea School sent eight of its keenest athlete’s to Hunterville Inter-School Athletics Sport Day.

Phoebe Collier, Caitlyn Alabaster, Adrian Soti, Brennan Couchman, Christine Soti, Sidney Curtis, Josh Rose-Blumenthal and Kaitlyn Couchman all represented Rangiwaea School in a manner they could be proud of.

Hunterville School once again hosted a competitive and extremely organised event with around 20 schools from around the Taihape, Hunterville and Marton area.  

All our children gave a 100% effort and performances by Christine Soti, Brennan Couchman, Josh Rose-Blumenthal and Sidney Curtis were awesome to watch.

The top 5 athlete’s in each event and age group were recorded and our Rangiwaea children gained places in several of these events. 

These places were: Phoebe Collier 3rd Junior Girls Discus, Caitlyn Alabaster 1st Junior Girls 1500m, 4th Junior Girls Sprints, 5th Junior Girls High Jump, Adrian Soti 3rd Junior Boys Long jump, Kaitlyn Couchman 5th Senior Girls High Jump.

Overall a fantastic day was had by all!.
